TL;DR

Senior Renewal Specialist (Insurtech): Managing general liability and bond renewals to support client retention and premium growth with an accent on contractor insurance programs. Focus on underwriting renewal accounts, coordinating with carriers, and optimizing retention workflows.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or able to commute to the Sacramento, CA office four days a week. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $27–$32 per hour

What you will do

  • Manage and produce general liability renewals focusing on retention and premium growth.
  • Underwrite and process renewal accounts while coordinating with carriers to satisfy requirements.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to clients ahead of renewal to ensure continuation of coverage.
  • Participate in department phone rotations to handle inbound inquiries, coverage questions, and policy changes.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for GL renewals and contribute to operational improvements.
  • Assist with internal training related to general liability products and carrier guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in insurance.
  • Property and Casualty License.
  • 5+ years of sales experience (P&C insurance sales preferred).
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Working knowledge of contractor insurance products, particularly General Liability and Surety Bonds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
