What you will do

• Communicate with retail agency personnel and underwriters to ensure accurate account information.
• Prepare and handle renewal accounts, solicit new business from retail clients.
• Manage up to 40 accounts weekly ($2,500–$100k premium), input and update client data in systems.
• Prepare market submissions, quote cover letters, review policies for accuracy.
• Engage and negotiate with carrier relationships, resolve invoicing and cancellation issues.
• Ensure claim notifications are sent, perform basic office duties.

Requirements

• 7+ years relevant experience in commercial insurance brokerage or production underwriting specific to casualty offerings
• Wholesale or retail agency/brokerage experience required
• Must be able to pass state exam and obtain insurance license (open to any state, if not currently licensed)
• Demonstrated understanding of insurance products and services
• Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision in fully remote setting
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office
