What you will do

• Manage leases for retail and fulfillment centers across Canada, USA, Australia, and new markets.
• Coordinate entity formation, licenses, and local counsel for international expansion.
• Oversee patents, trademarks, and IP protection globally.
• Handle equity matters, cap table, stock options, and governance.
• Ensure compliance with privacy, data protection, employment, and consumer laws.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years legal experience, including in-house or as primary counsel to high-growth e-commerce/retail companies.
• Strong in commercial contracts and corporate law; expertise in employment, real estate, or privacy/data protection.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions like Canada and USA, coordinating international counsel.
• Proven negotiation of complex deals and clear communication of legal risks.
• Track record building scalable legal processes and templates.
• Hands-on ability to operate as a "team of one" with high integrity.
