Associate General Counsel

TL;DR

Associate General Counsel (Veterinary SaaS): Drafting, reviewing, negotiating commercial agreements including SaaS, MSAs, vendor deals for procurement marketplace, ecommerce, and practice management systems with an accent on regulatory analysis, privacy, data security, and product counseling. Focus on developing expertise in FDA, DEA, pharmacy laws, veterinary regulations, and supporting strategic growth initiatives in regulated markets.

Location: 100% remote within the USA. Unable to sponsor work visas.

Salary: $180,000/year - $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements including SaaS, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, vendor, distribution, and partnership contracts
• Partner with business, product, operations, and finance on enterprise deals and strategic initiatives
• Advise on product development and launches, identifying risks and providing business-oriented solutions
• Build expertise in telecommunications, consumer protection, privacy, FDA, DEA, veterinary/pharmacy laws, ecommerce, and marketplace compliance
• Translate complex legal/regulatory requirements into practical guidance for product, engineering, operations, and business teams
• Support growth initiatives like new products, markets, commercial models, and regulated workflows

Requirements

• 5-8 years of legal experience, including at a top-tier law firm
• J.D. from accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• Strong commercial contracting experience with SaaS, technology, enterprise customers, MSAs, SOWs, order forms, DPAs, vendor agreements
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience advising high-growth tech/SaaS/regulated/enterprise software companies
• Proactive mindset, strong work ethic, curiosity for new regulatory frameworks
