TL;DR

Employee Relations & Compliance Principal (HR/Compliance): Conducting investigations into workplace concerns and managing employee engagement with an accent on legal compliance, EEO concerns, and performance management. Focus on mitigating organizational risk, coaching managers, and refining the global ER function.

Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, Washington, USA

Salary: $160,000 — $246,000 USD

What you will do

  • Conduct prompt and thorough investigations into sensitive employee relations and EEO issues, including interviews and evidence collection.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to People Business Partners and leadership on performance management and position elimination.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures to promote equity and accountability.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to respond to internal and external allegations.
  • Collaborate with ER leadership to scale the function through data analytics and proactive initiatives.
  • Develop and deploy ER-related training and projects to ensure a transparent employee experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant employee relations experience focused on investigations and performance management.
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and influence cross-functional partners and business leaders.
  • Experience assessing and mitigating organizational risk.
  • Must be based in the US and able to work in a hybrid capacity from Bellevue, WA

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree, law degree, or specialized training in employment law and investigations.
  • Experience supporting international employees and conducting international employment investigations.
