TL;DR

Director, Employee Relations: Lead enterprise-wide employee relations standards, investigations, and performance management with an accent on fairness, equity, compliance, and risk mitigation. Focus on conducting complex investigations, coaching managers on performance plans, mediating conflicts, and analyzing trends to build healthy cultures.

Location: Fully remote in the USA. Hybrid option (Tuesday and Wednesday in office) if living near hirify.global offices. Must have authorization to work in the United States for any employer.

Salary: $96,000 - $140,000

What you will do

  • Serve as enterprise owner of ER standards, managing elevated risks like performance, conduct, and compliance issues.
  • Lead improvement plan processes, investigations, and disciplinary decisions across the organization.
  • Act as neutral mediator in complex conflicts and provide guidance on policy interpretation.
  • Design frameworks, tools, and dashboards for consistent ER case management and trend analysis.
  • Coach managers on performance feedback, documentation, and early issue resolution.
  • Contribute to talent systems, training, and special projects to streamline ER processes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in employee relations/HR, including complex investigations, performance accountability, and reorganizations.
  • Expertise in performance management, investigatory practices, discipline frameworks, and HR policy.
  • Advanced knowledge of employment law and ability to partner with Legal.
  • Proven data analysis skills to influence leadership decisions.
  • SPHR or similar credentials a plus.
  • Authorization to work in the United States; ability to travel as needed.
