What you will do

• Drive technical direction in alignment with product counterparts and the wider engineering community.
• Build and manage a team of engineers to design and deploy scalable data solutions.
• Act as a player-coach to build frameworks for high-performance financial data ingestion and AI-native products.
• Advocate for standard methodologies and automate processes to improve throughput, latency, and accuracy.
• Develop process controls and metrics to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and a strong background as a backend individual contributor.
• Computer science degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and messaging queues.
• Proficiency in at least one OOP language (PySpark, Python, Java), SQL, and data pipelines.
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom from the first day of employment (No visa sponsorship).
