What you will do

• Collaborate with Account Managers to conduct network architectural reviews and identify improvements in network performance for enterprise clients.
• Deliver technical presentations on Open Networking Data Center, Cognitive Campus, CloudVision, and Security solutions.
• Design scalable leaf-spine network architectures utilizing overlay technologies such as VxLAN and EVPN.
• Perform hands-on testing of customer proof-of-concept (PoC) setups and network deployments using the latest Arista products.
• Provide design guidelines and recommendations to optimize customer network infrastructure based on Arista Validated Designs.
• Respond to RFP/RFQs and provide critical customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation (Data Center, Campus, Wi-Fi).
• Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching, L2/L3 protocols, and overlay technologies like VxLAN.
• Proven experience designing highly scalable leaf-spine network architectures.
• Deep expertise in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and QoS.
• Must be a local or regional candidate for the Albany/Syracuse area.
• Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI).

Nice to have

• Network Industry Certifications such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, or ACE-L7.
• Experience building network automation using Python and Ansible.
• Strong technical writing skills for creating informative white papers.
• Previous experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Network Consulting Engineer.
• Understanding of the competitor landscape, specifically Cisco and Juniper.
