Senior Network Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer (FedRAMP): Engineer, operate, and optimize global IP backbone, data center networks, and cloud connectivity with an accent on scalable L3 routing, secure segmentation, and compliance for regulated environments. Focus on designing BGP/OSPF topologies, automating provisioning with Python/Ansible, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring FedRAMP Moderate/High adherence.

Location: Remote (US field locations including Seattle WA, NY Metro, AK, AZ and 51 total US locations)

Salary: $135,200 - $202,800 annual base pay

What you will do

• Engineer and optimize global routing with BGP/OSPF, traffic engineering, and multi-region redundancy.
• Build and operate secure networks for data centers, cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and FedRAMP environments.
• Develop automation pipelines using Python, Ansible, and CI/CD for provisioning and compliance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, ensure reliability, and handle FedRAMP monitoring and vulnerability remediation.
• Plan capacity, manage vendors, and execute changes with structured procedures.
• Document architectures, runbooks, and mentor engineers on FedRAMP designs.

Requirements

• 10+ years in network engineering with large-scale global routing; FedRAMP Moderate/High experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s in CS/IT or related (Master’s preferred)
• Deep expertise in BGP/OSPF, JunOS (MX/QFX/SRX), hybrid cloud networking
• Hands-on Python/Ansible automation, troubleshooting TCP/IP/routing issues
• Knowledge of network security, NIST 800-53, firewalls/VPNs for FedRAMP
• Strong communication, incident leadership, and collaborative mindset

• Experience with EOS, NX-OS, IOS-XE
