Principal Network Engineer (AI)

Principal Network Engineer (Infrastructure/AI): Designing, deploying, and operating high-speed Ethernet and WAN infrastructure for a GPU cloud tailored for AI with an accent on automation and high-performance computing (HPC) topologies. Focus on automating hardware deployment, optimizing DC networking, and ensuring scalability of the cloud infrastructure.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate high-speed Ethernet-based networks and WAN infrastructure.
• Automate the deployment and day-to-day operations of multi-vendor hardware using Python or Bash.
• Provide technical input for DC layout and Rack elevations to ensure correct implementation of Reference Architectures.
• Act as a tier-3 escalation point for the support organization.
• Manage vendor relationships with carriers, ISPs, and infrastructure providers.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in networking and infrastructure roles.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, VLAN, LACP, and MLAG.
• Strong knowledge of WAN technologies including MPLS, IPSec, GRE, and SD-WAN.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for network automation.
• Experience with HPC networking topologies such as Fat Tree and Rail.
• Strong knowledge of Optics and hardware for BOM design.
