Manager, Software Engineering - AI and Data Platform

Starting base pay: $133,700.00–$173,800.00 per year

What you will do

• Lead teams building, operating, and evolving enterprise Data & AI platform capabilities for analytics, data products, machine learning, and agent-based experiences.
• Own ingestion, transformation, lakehouse architecture, feature services, and AI/ML enablement layers.
• Define platform decisions, roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics aligned with modularity, interoperability, and AI-first design.
• Partner with Architecture, Governance, Security, Product, Data Science, Analytics, and Product Engineering on trust, compliance, Responsible AI, and delivery enablement.
• Lead modernization, cloud migration, cost optimization, build-versus-buy decisions, monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization.
• Hire, mentor, coach, and develop platform engineers across geographies while promoting standards across the Data Intelligence COE.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software, data, or platform engineering. Experience with .NET, Azure, Databricks, and ADO is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing data engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, cloud data lakes or lakehouses, distributed processing, streaming, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of platform engineering principles and operating production systems at scale.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity and influence without authority.
