Director, Product Software Engineering - AI

Location: Remote in the United States; primary location USA-MO-Remote, with USA-TX-Remote also listed. Candidates may be required to appear onsite at a hirify.global office for the interview process.

Salary: $179,200.00–$320,200.00 USD, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Define and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap for Firm Intelligence products and platforms.
• Lead multiple engineering teams and managers, establish engineering standards, and improve quality, speed, and scalability.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled software development, intelligent product capabilities, cloud-native applications, APIs, automation, and advanced analytics.
• Partner with Product Management, customers, and business stakeholders to translate complex challenges into technology solutions and measurable outcomes.
• Build, develop, and retain engineering leaders and teams through coaching, mentorship, and career development.
• Manage budgets, resource planning, organizational priorities, and transformation within a matrixed enterprise environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
• 5+ years leading engineering managers and multiple software engineering teams.
• Experience delivering cloud-native software products and platforms using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience leading teams building AI-enabled products.
• Familiarity with LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, and AI governance.
• Experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
• Customer-centric product development and co-design experience.
• Experience driving engineering strategy and execution within a matrixed enterprise environment, with demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership skills.
