What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks to obtain blood specimens from patients.
• Verify patient identification and test requisitions, resolving any discrepancies with nursing or medical personnel.
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic techniques and following strict isolation procedures.
• Track collections and record results in quality-control logs to ensure testing accuracy.
• Manage logistical tasks, including printing patient reports and scheduling courier services like FedEx or Medspeed.
• Handle PHI in accordance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Must be based in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State).
• BS/BA degree preferred.
