What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks to obtain blood specimens while ensuring specimen integrity using aseptic techniques.
• Verify test requisitions and patient identification to prevent errors.
• Maintain quality results by following department procedures and recording data in quality-control logs.
• Manage logistical tasks, including printing patient reports and scheduling courier pick-ups via FedEx or Medspeed.
• Handle Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and security training requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, pathologists, and nursing stations to resolve unusual test orders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by the state).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Crystal City, Missouri.
• BS/BA degree is preferred.
