TL;DR
Senior Product Owner (Fintech): Driving tactical delivery across Billing and Data platforms with an accent on backlog management, UAT, and cross-functional alignment. Focus on managing complex billing architectures and optimizing data ingestion pipelines on GCP and BigQuery.
Location: Remote (Must be based in Canada)
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 CAD

What you will do
- Lead delivery for Billing and Data teams, managing backlogs and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
- Author detailed epics and user stories with precise acceptance criteria to ensure engineering clarity.
- Conduct UAT by writing and executing SQL queries against BigQuery to verify data accuracy and pipeline correctness.
- Coordinate release planning, write detailed release notes, and manage internal rollout communications.
- Partner with Product and Engineering Managers to align tactical execution with business strategy and resource capacity.
- Define and validate MVPs that incrementally deliver value while aligning with strategic goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager in platform, infrastructure, or data-centric environments.
- Strong technical depth in cloud-based data platforms and pipelines (BigQuery, dbt, Airflow).
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
- Skilled in Agile development frameworks and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinating software release cycles.
- Must be based in Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience with financial systems or billing platforms in a SaaS or fintech environment.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in data governance or privacy-compliant data handling (GDPR, CCPA).
- Technical background with a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
