Location: Hybrid; must be based in New York or San Francisco (requires in-person office attendance 4 days a week)

Salary: $150,000 – $210,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements.
• Manage ASC 606 revenue recognition for SaaS and usage-based contracts with K–12 districts.
• Lead AR, AP, payroll, and treasury operations, building scalable processes and controls.
• Implement and optimize financial systems (ERP, billing, expense management, equity).
• Own quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure sales tax compliance across operating states.
• Manage the annual audit process as the primary point of contact for external auditors and advisors.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience, specifically within high-growth SaaS companies.
• CPA certification is required; Big 4 audit background is strongly preferred.
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition for software.
• Experience owning a full close cycle in a venture-backed or pre-IPO environment.
• Proven track record of building financial systems, controls, and processes from scratch.
• Strong communication skills to translate financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
