TL;DR

Controller (Robotics): Establishing and owning the end-to-end accounting function for an autonomous ground handling platform with an accent on GAAP compliance and multi-entity consolidation. Focus on implementing modern ERP systems, managing hardware COGS, and streamlining financial reporting for venture-backed growth.

Location: Must be based in the US (Remote, or Hybrid in New York City or South San Francisco)

Salary: $170K – $210K + Equity

What you will do

• Own the full monthly and annual close process, driving toward a best-in-class close timeline.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements for board and investor reporting.
• Manage intercompany transactions and consolidation across US, UK, and Canadian entities.
• Own revenue recognition (ASC 606) for a mixed hardware and software business with recurring revenue.
• Manage hardware COGS accounting, including inventory, BOM costing, and depreciation schedules.
• Evaluate, select, and implement a modern ERP and automated finance workflows.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 2+ years at a venture-backed startup, preferably as the primary finance person for a company of 30–150 employees.
• Strong technical accounting skills in ASC 606, inventory, and multi-entity consolidation.
• International accounting experience covering the US and at least one non-US jurisdiction.
• CPA certification.
• Ability to independently produce investor-grade financial statements and board packages.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI-native finance tools (e.g., Rillet, Ramp).
• Experience supporting Series B+ fundraising, including data room prep and due diligence.
• Experience with RaaS, debt facilities, or equipment financing.
• Background in aviation, logistics, robotics, or automation solutions.
