TL;DR

Associate Commercial Counsel (AI SaaS): Draft, review, and negotiate commercial AI SaaS contracts and technology agreements with an accent on regulatory and product counsel. Focus on developing sales training resources, interfacing with cross-functional teams, and broadening expertise in IP law.

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA (3 days/week in office), remote option available for candidates outside these locations. Admitted to practice law and in good standing, able to practice in California or New York.

Salary: $180,000 – $220,000 USD (Offers Equity)

What you will do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial AI SaaS contracts and other technology/AI-related agreements.
  • Provide regulatory and product counsel as needed.
  • Develop training and resources for sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Interface with go-to-market, business, engineering, product, and security teams for efficient agreement execution.
  • Broaden expertise in product counseling and IP law in a growing startup environment.

Requirements

  • Law degree from accredited law school; admitted to practice and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction, able to practice in California or New York.
  • 3+ years law firm and/or in-house experience.
  • Transactional background with SaaS, technology, IP licensing, commercial agreements, and/or M&A.
  • Ability to think creatively, work independently and proactively in fast-paced environment.
  • Team-focused, collaborative style; hyper-responsive and service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience with AI.
  • Supporting Go-To-Market/Sales teams.
  • Interest in solving hard problems with small tight-knit team.
