Solutions Architect (AI/LLM): Own the practice of Solutions Architecture across a portfolio of engagements with an accent on intelligent applications and LLM platforms. Focus on defining standards, governance frameworks, talent development, and scaling technical strategy aligned to business outcomes.

Location: Columbia, MD (onsite, full-time)

Salary: $150,000 - $170,000

What you will do

• Set practice strategy including capability models, hiring standards, onboarding, and communities of practice.
• Establish portfolio governance with architecture review boards, risk processes, security/reliability minimums, and vendor assessments.
• Grow talent through performance coaching, sponsorship, and succession planning for Staff/Principal architects.
• Define reusable assets like reference architectures, decision templates, NFR catalogs, threat modeling kits, and playbooks.
• Partner with sales and delivery leadership on technical win strategies, risk estimates, and feasibility.
• Drive LLM architecture governance with policies, evaluations, monitoring, and incident readiness.
• Align CI/CD, observability, and platform standards across engagements with enterprise constraints.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership at org/multi-team scale (people or practice leadership).
• Strong technical judgment across full-stack, data, integration, cloud, and LLM solution risk to set standards.
• Track record improving quality, predictability, and risk posture through systems.
• Executive-ready communication, conflict resolution, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience leading SA practice in consulting, product, or enterprise transformation.
• Deep engagement with regulated industries or high-trust clients.
• Proven programs for responsible LLM, RAG, and agentic delivery governance.
• Portfolio experience with Databricks and Snowflake as primary analytics estates.
