TL;DR

Senior Commercial Counsel (SaaS): Supporting global Sales and Procurement teams with enterprise software licensing and strategic partnerships with an accent on risk management and deal structuring. Focus on leading complex contract negotiations, optimizing legal processes through AI tools, and ensuring regulatory compliance across SaaS and On-Prem agreements.

Location: London (Hybrid/Flexible). Compensation benchmarks provided for US states (NY, CA, WA, CO, RI).

Salary: $155,000 – $190,000 (Annual base for specific US locations)

What you will do

  • Lead contract negotiations for SaaS, hardware purchases, real estate leases, and supplier requests (including DPAs).
  • Drive complex deal closure for enterprise commercial licenses (SaaS/On-Prem), GDPR/CCPA data processing agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, sales, deal desk, finance, and security to accelerate transaction closure.
  • Optimize contracting processes and policies through the implementation of AI and automation tools.
  • Maintain and improve commercial contracting playbooks and agreement templates.
  • Draft and negotiate amendments for existing supply chain and procurement contracts.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA accredited university and admission to the State Bar where you are located.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience specifically in software licensing and SaaS agreements.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing AI-based tools for legal research and redlining.
  • Ability to manage high-volume deal flow and work independently on complex problems.
  • Strong business acumen and collaborative spirit.

Nice to have

  • Prior in-house experience, particularly at a high-growth technology company.
  • Undergraduate degree in a business or technology field.
  • Experience with international commercial agreements and data localization requirements.
