TL;DR
Business Development Representative, SMB (LegalTech): Generating new business opportunities for an AI legal copilot with an accent on outbound prospecting and lead generation. Focus on identifying SMB law firms, managing cold outreach campaigns, and qualifying leads to drive pipeline growth.
Location: Remote (Must be based in Canada)
Salary: CA$95K OTE

What you will do
- Prospect, identify, and qualify new SMB business opportunities via calls, emails, and social channels.
- Maintain high daily activity levels including cold calls and social touches.
- Set qualified appointments and meetings for the SMB sales team.
- Track all activities in CRM to ensure data accuracy and hygiene.
- Collaborate with the BDR Manager to develop outreach strategies and messaging techniques.
- Provide feedback for talk tracks and email sequences to optimize outbound motions.
Requirements
- 1+ years of relevant sales experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Proficiency with CRM software (HubSpot/Salesforce) and sales engagement tools (Outreach/SalesLoft).
- Must be based in Canada.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in SaaS or technology sales.
- Experience working in a startup or building a new sales motion.
- Proven track record of developing effective sales strategies.
