What you will do

• Define and maintain the long-term platform architecture roadmap to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Champion the integration of AI-powered development tools, such as AI code assistants and intelligent testing frameworks, into engineering workflows.
• Refine the engineering delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and incident response processes.
• Implement data-driven frameworks using DORA metrics and cycle time analysis to eliminate bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing organization of engineering managers, architects, and individual contributors.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps to ensure cohesive delivery.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in leadership overseeing backend or platform teams.
• Proven track record of defining and executing platform architecture strategy at scale.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI-enabled development tools and measuring their impact on delivery outcomes.
• Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven, and cloud-native architecture, as well as DevOps/SRE practices.
• Experience managing and scaling engineering organizations of 15+ engineers.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise SaaS or platform-as-a-service (PaaS) environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment pipelines and LLM integration patterns.
• Background in regulated industries such as fintech or healthcare with compliance-by-design experience.
• Experience leading major platform migrations, such as monolith-to-microservices or on-prem-to-cloud.
