Director of Engineering (AI/Cloud Native): Leading a global engineering organization and implementing an AI-first operating model with an accent on AI-powered tooling, developer experience, and product velocity. Focus on designing AI product enablement strategies, modernizing legacy systems, and scaling global high-performing teams.

Location: Must be based in Texas, USA (Virtual Texas)

What you will do

  • Integrate AI-powered tooling (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to measurably improve developer throughput and code quality.
  • Develop AI product enablement strategies including RAG pipelines and agentic workflows to embed AI into core offerings.
  • Optimize the engineering operating model through agile delivery, OKRs, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead, coach, and scale a global engineering organization consisting of multiple Engineering Managers and senior ICs.
  • Provide technical leadership for a cloud-native microservices platform using .NET, Java, and React.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to communicate risks, progress, and manage annual budget and headcount strategy.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 7+ years leading engineering teams at scale.
  • Must be based in Texas, USA.
  • Proven experience integrating AI/ML tools into developer workflows or shipping AI-enabled product features.
  • Deep fluency in cloud-native architecture, microservices, and modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, DevSecOps, SRE).
  • Experience managing distributed global teams and leading large-scale technology transformations.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in highly regulated domains such as automotive, insurance, or fintech.
