Consultant - Valuation

Location: Boston, MA. Candidates must be able to verify their legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Salary: $90,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze historical and projected financial information and develop detailed financial models to value companies, investments, and complex securities.
• Direct junior staff in developing financial models and take ownership of the quality of their analyses.
• Organize and aggregate large data sets in Microsoft Excel and use Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and other financial and market data platforms.
• Prepare and present thorough valuation analyses and client-ready deliverables within project scope, quality expectations, and deadlines.
• Communicate project status and results internally and externally, including through reports, client meetings, and presentations.
• Participate in teamwork, practice development, business development, networking, and personal leadership development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Three to five years of prior valuation work experience is required, preferably with a national accounting firm or valuation firm.
• Experience as a key team member leading the development and completion of client-ready valuation deliverables or similar client service deliverables.
• Proven management skills, including recruiting, training, and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong financial modeling skills and valuation-related technical competencies.
• Ability to collaborate with a variety of industry specialists and work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong report-writing skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an organized, methodical, and professional approach.
• Ability to submit verification of legal authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Option Pricing Models, including Black-Scholes, and/or Monte Carlo simulation.
• Significant progress toward an ASA designation or similar designation.
• Interest in developing leadership and business development capabilities.
