Senior Associate, Valuations

Location: Boston, United States; hybrid work arrangement with 18 remote workdays per quarter subject to manager approval.

Base salary: $100,000–$105,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and potential long-term reward programs.

What you will do

• Perform daily valuation activities and NAV oversight for evergreen fund investments.
• Assess portfolio activity, market developments, capital calls, distributions, investments, realizations, financing activity, foreign exchange movements, public market changes, and material company- or fund-specific events.
• Review valuation movements, investigate threshold exceptions, and ensure adjustments are calculated, supported, approved, documented, and communicated within daily NAV deadlines.
• Build and maintain valuation methodologies across private equity, venture capital, private credit, infrastructure, real assets, and other private market investments.
• Coordinate with Fund Accounting, Investment Teams, Portfolio Analytics, Treasury, Operations, Risk, technology, data, and control functions on valuation information and issues.
• Improve valuation processes, automate data collection and monitoring, and enhance valuation systems, dashboards, workflows, reporting, and data quality.

Requirements

• Experience supporting investment valuation, private markets, fund accounting, financial reporting, audit, transaction advisory, or related work.
• Familiarity with private market investment structures and valuation approaches.
• Comfort working with data and performing financial analysis in Excel or similar tools.
• Experience partnering with colleagues across multiple teams.
• Strong analytical and valuation thinking, including the ability to make decisions using incomplete, delayed, or conflicting information.
• Ability to work under deadlines, handle multiple valuation matters, and understand business impact, issues, and risk in a daily NAV environment.
• Ability to explain valuation matters to technical and nontechnical stakeholders and coordinate work across investment, accounting, operations, technology, and control functions.

• CPA, CFA, ASA, or another professional designation.
