Consultant, Daily Valuation & NAV Accounting

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. Flexible Activity-Based Work model combining office collaboration with remote work for focused tasks.

Salary: $60,000–$90,000 USD base pay per year, excluding bonuses, equity, benefits, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Review quarterly client financial statements and oversee data imports into accounting systems and Excel templates.
• Project quarterly net investment income, interest expense, property appreciation, net asset value changes, and daily share prices.
• Coordinate with appraisers, daily valuation committees, clients, and other market participants throughout the quarterly appraisal process.
• Revalue properties and revise share prices in response to material events such as new leases, bankruptcies, and market changes.
• Review variances, interpret client requests, manage multiple engagements, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
• Review staff work, coach and mentor team members, and maintain technical and service quality.

Requirements

• University or college degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
• Relevant accounting and commercial real estate valuation experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.
• Strong Excel proficiency and experience with Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, or a similar accounting system.
• Supervisory and project management experience, including managing deadlines and client deliverables.
• Ability to communicate with clients and colleagues from varied backgrounds and interpret complex financial data.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or MAI credentials.
