Real Estate Valuation Consultant, Advisory (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid role requiring two days per week onsite at the New York office

Salary: $65,000–$95,000 base pay annually

What you will do

• Manage valuation consulting, appraisal review, appraisal management, financial due diligence, and investment managed services assignments for institutional commercial real estate portfolios.
• Prepare and review financial models, cash flow projections, appraisal analyses, and valuation materials using Excel, Argus Enterprise, and other industry-standard tools.
• Coordinate assignment workflows, timelines, priorities, and client deliverables.
• Review and mentor Analysts and junior staff while supporting team performance and development.
• Manage communication with institutional clients, third-party appraisers, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, comparable transaction analysis, rental data analysis, portfolio analysis, and preparation of client-facing materials.

Requirements

• University degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Experience in commercial real estate valuation, appraisal review, asset management, acquisitions, or a related advisory environment.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial models, valuation analyses, and cash flow projections for commercial real estate assets.
• High proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of Argus Enterprise and other valuation tools.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, stakeholders, and competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
• Professional communication, client relationship management, mentoring, collaboration, adaptability, and accountability skills.

Hiring process

• In-person interviews with two Directors followed by a final interview with the Senior Director, Valuation & Advisory.
