TL;DR
Instructional Systems Designer Intern (SoarTech): Assist Instructional Systems Designers in developing and delivering Interactive Multi-Media Instruction (IMI) and Computer Based Training (CBT) with an accent on methodologies, processes, and ISD principles. Focus on conducting analyses, crafting curricula, guiding subject matter experts, and ensuring reliable performance solutions.
Location: Ann Arbor, MI or Orlando, FL. US Citizen required to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance.
Salary: 22 - 24 USD per hour

What you will do
- Conduct analyses and develop curricula and products in multiple formats according to instructional principles and objectives.
- Guide subject matter experts through training design and development processes.
- Determine instructional strategies and ensure curricula follow sound ISD methodology.
- Complete exploratory analysis and visualization.
- Facilitate and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
- Travel for demonstrations or customer relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in progress in instructional design, adult education, cognitive science, psychology, human-computer interaction, human factors, or related field.
- Experience in instructional design, content development, training delivery, or adjacent field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write, edit, and proofread technical information.
- Familiarity with learning theory, psychology of learning, and educational psychology.
- Proficient with Office 365 and ability to support multiple projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance (US Citizen required).
Nice to have
- Experience developing courseware outlines, storyboards, lessons, guides, tests, and assessments.
- Knowledge of courseware development process including job/task analysis, design, storyboarding, testing, and validation.
- Familiarity with DoD research community, processes, and procedures.
- Familiarity with AIM Content Planning Module (CPM) / Learning Object Module (LOM).
- Active-duty military experience or familiarity with military training.
- Experience writing software code, supporting research, or computers in education/training.
