What you will do
- Lead the instructional design process for AP courses, guiding curriculum analysts and subject matter experts.
- Drive the development of prototypes for new courses, including project-based tasks and teacher resources.
- Manage the project lifecycle from inception to delivery, establishing product roadmaps and launch plans.
- Collaborate with Learning Engineering, Access, and Strategy departments to integrate instructional projects.
- Direct a high-performing team of designers and analysts, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Represent the AP Program at conferences and engage with external stakeholders and policymakers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in academic strategy, instructional design, or curriculum development.
- 5+ years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be based in the USA.
- Ability to travel 15-20% for business purposes.
- Strong project management skills and a strategic mindset for large-scale education projects.
