Technical Trainer (Drones)

TL;DR

Technical Trainer (UAS/Robotics): Creating and implementing comprehensive training programs for manufacturing employees with an accent on instructional design and compliance. Focus on developing eLearning modules, partnering with engineering teams, and ensuring adherence to government and defense standards.

Location: Salt Lake City, UT. Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence (ITAR/EAR compliance).

Compensation: Base pay, plus generous annual equity package and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Create eLearning modules, videos, and instructional materials to support products and work experiences.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure curricula and job aids meet technical requirements.
• Build and implement a world-class training program specifically for manufacturing employees.
• Track employee completion records and communicate performance metrics to leadership.
• Coach employees and provide remedial training to ensure optimal performance.
• Support new product and process rollouts with robust training and tracking mechanisms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in corporate training.
• Proven experience building curricula for technical roles and conducting hands-on technical training.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required (no sponsorship available due to ITAR/EAR restrictions).
• Ability to navigate large industrial facilities, lift up to 25 lbs, and wear PPE as required.

Nice to have

• Professional portfolio of instructional design work.
• Experience with eLearning authoring tools: Captivate, Canva, Articulate, Camtasia.
• Video and multimedia production and editing experience.
• Strong facilitation skills for both instructor-led and virtual training environments.
