Maintenance Manager (Automotive)

Salary: £38k - £43k base (OTE £48k - £53k with performance bonus)

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, and allocate daily work for the maintenance team
• Manage relationships with breakdown partners and monitor SLAs
• Approve complex vehicle repairs within financial limits
• Oversee supplier performance for quality and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with MOT and safety checks across depots
• Handle escalated repairs and cover for coordinator absences as working supervisor

Requirements

• Based in Manchester depot; flexibility for shift rotations covering branch hours
• Solid background in vehicle maintenance, ideally light commercial vehicles (LCV)
• Experience in transport, logistics, or automotive sectors with maintenance management
• Valid driving license with at least 12 months experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
