Senior Developer

TL;DR

Senior Developer (Software): Collaborate with analysts, designers, and managers to design software solutions that drive client change with an accent on clean iterative code, best engineering practices, and continuous delivery. Focus on building large-scale distributed microservices systems, mentoring juniors, and applying latest technology from Technology Radar to solve complex business problems.

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Onsite work expected 5 days a week from hirify.global or client office.

Salary: $105–$171 USD (annual)

What you will do

• Learn and adopt best practices like TDD, pair programming, design patterns, and continuous delivery.
• Build innovative customer experiences and large-scale distributed systems from microservices in collaborative teams.
• Collaborate with teammates to develop features, prototypes, and embed UX best practices.
• Apply latest technology thinking and DevSecOps tools to build, deploy, and shift security left.
• Oversee full software consulting cycle from ideation to deployment.
• Mentor less-experienced peers through technical knowledge and leadership.

Requirements

• Experience with one or more languages (Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, C#) and Object-Oriented programming.
• Skill in writing high-quality, well-tested code.
• Comfort with Agile methodologies (XP, Scrum, Kanban), TDD, CI/CD.
• Ability to influence others, advocate technical excellence, and handle ambiguity.
• Presence in external tech community via speaking, open source, blogs.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker).
