What you will do

• Lead, mentor and support a team of 4–5 software engineers with regular 1:1s and career growth.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture and implementation for scalable, maintainable systems.
• Contribute hands-on by writing production code, reviewing PRs and participating in design discussions.
• Collaborate with delivery managers, design leads, principal engineers and stakeholders to scope, prioritize and deliver work.
• Promote engineering practices like testing, CI/CD, code quality, observability and documentation.
• Build distributed web applications following modern approaches like MACH principles.

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience as technical lead or senior engineer in product delivery teams.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Next.js frameworks and Node.js backend architectures.
• Experience designing and building distributed or composable web applications.
• Worked in cross-disciplinary teams with designers, managers and stakeholders.
• Established engineering practices: automated testing, CI/CD, code quality and observability.
• Strong communication skills and passion for mentoring.

Nice to have

• Experience with C# / .NET or similar backend technologies.
• Frontend or backend background.
