What you will do

• Establish and lead a dedicated engineering function to maintain and enhance Next.js (web) and React Native (mobile) platforms.
• Own the product development roadmap in partnership with Product and Design leadership.
• Drive architectural improvements to enhance maintainability, performance, and reliability of the e-commerce experience.
• Recruit, grow, and manage the engineering team, providing coaching and setting high technical standards.
• Contribute hands-on code to solve complex engineering problems and unblock the team.
• Align system development with commercial strategies focusing on conversion and international growth.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership role (Head of Engineering, Engineering Lead, Principal Engineer, or Technical Architect).
• Deep hands-on expertise with Next.js (React) and React Native architecture.
• Proven experience running production workloads on Azure and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with high-traffic transactional platforms (E-commerce/Online Retail).
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with REST/GraphQL and event-driven integration patterns.
• Knowledge of multi-language and multi-currency platform internationalization.
• Experience with A/B testing, feature flags, and conversion optimization.
