Design Engineer (Manufacturing)

TL;DR

Design Engineer (Manufacturing): Designs, develops, builds, and implements new products, components, or technologies for hirify.global Fleet Products including Command for Hauling, Dozing, Drills, ADS, Safety and other related products with an accent on prototyping, material research, and supplier development. Focus on developing functional requirements, translating into detail design documents, and participating in buy-build analysis.

Onsite five days a week in Tucson, Arizona (primary) or Mossville, Illinois (alternative), United States. Domestic relocation available to Tucson, AZ. Visa sponsorship not available.

Salary: $97,530 - $158,480

What you will do

• Research new materials and competitive products; organize, coordinate, and execute building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.
• Assist supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and performance; oversee drafting and testing specialists.
• Develop and document functional requirements, translating into detail design documents; participate in buy-build analysis.
• Participate in proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Degree in accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
• Analytical thinking to determine root causes and create solutions.
• Effective communications to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas accurately.
• Managing multiple priorities with effective self-management.
• Technical excellence in developing solutions to significant challenges.
• Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: produce, analyze, simulate, and test product design drafts.
• Product Design - MFG and Product Design and Development knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience with CREO – Cabling/harness Tool, Electrical Harness/Cable Routing, Electrical Drawing Creation.
• Experience with CREO – Sheet metal, solid modeling, contouring, light fabrications drawing creation.
• Teamcenter Vis Mockup or Workflow experience.
• ELI or ELE Schematic experience.
• Familiarity or experience with hirify.global Products.
