What you will do

• Design and create 3D models and drawings using Creo or Solidworks.
• Manage new product designs from initial concept through to mass production.
• Build and validate prototypes in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Develop Bill of Materials (BOMs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure high craftsmanship and quality.
• Optimize product costs by evaluating material usage during the development phase.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in applied arts or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience in product development.
• Hands-on experience designing plywood and solid wood upholstered chair frames and foam.
• Proficiency in CAD software, specifically Creo or Solidworks.
• Must be able to work onsite in Hildebran, NC.
• Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of brand aesthetic.
