An American commercial electric vehicle company developing a first-of-its-kind EV platform for medium-duty vehicles and hybrids.

What you will do

• Define and implement the long-term process and equipment strategy for General Assembly lines, including AGVs and robotic fastening.
• Manage the full equipment lifecycle from concept, specification, and vendor selection to installation and ramp-up.
• Plan layouts and lead the installation of new assembly lines, focusing on space optimization and utility integration.
• Act as the technical expert for automation, robotics, machine vision, and controls systems to solve complex assembly challenges.
• Lead DFM and DFA initiatives to optimize vehicle designs for automated manufacturing, reducing complexity.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment uptime, yield, and cycle time through root cause analysis and data.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, with 5+ years specifically in automotive EV General Assembly.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Expertise in robotics (Kuka, Fanuc), conveyance systems, and controls (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
• Proven track record of bringing complex manufacturing equipment from concept to high-volume production.
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Garden Grove, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a startup environment.
• Practice of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
