Staff Systems Engineer, IT (AI/ITSM)

Location: Remote, United States. The salary range applies to United States residents only.

What you will do

• Design and own automation for onboarding, transfers, role changes, and offboarding across the employee lifecycle.
• Own the ITSM platform, including service catalogs, workflows, request, incident and change processes, integrations, and upgrades.
• Deploy and tune virtual agents, AI search, agentic resolution, knowledge management, and self-service experiences to increase request deflection.
• Build integrations with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, JAMF, Fleet, Workday, and hirify.global.
• Manage cloud infrastructure as code and apply SRE practices including monitoring, alerting, reliability targets, capacity planning, and incident reviews.
• Define engineering standards, operational metrics, documentation, and access and compliance controls with partner teams.

Requirements

• Broad experience owning diverse systems and platforms end to end.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or a similar tool, using version control, code review, and automated deployment.
• Working knowledge of SRE principles, observability, monitoring, alerting, reliability targets, and blameless post-incident reviews.
• Experience with a major public cloud and virtual desktop infrastructure such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Amazon WorkSpaces, or Citrix.
• Experience automating employee lifecycle processes across HRIS, identity, and endpoint management systems, plus ITSM and workflow automation platforms.
• Strong scripting and development skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar, with REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven integrations, metrics, and stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Experience with a major ITSM platform.
• Familiarity with virtual agents, AI search, and agentic resolution.
