TL;DR

PMO Lead (Project Management): Owning programme governance, control, and assurance for large-scale technology transformation with an accent on data centre exit and on-prem to cloud migration. Focus on managing financial controls, executive reporting via Power BI, and ensuring audit readiness for complex infrastructure shifts.

Location: Must be based in England, UK. Flexible working arrangements are considered.

What you will do

  • Own the programme governance framework and ensure all documentation is consistent and audit-ready.
  • Matrix manage PMO reporting and finance analysts to ensure data quality and consistent standards.
  • Coordinate SteerCo packs, including milestone reporting, risks, dependencies, and financial views.
  • Maintain the programme critical path and track dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Manage programme-level financial governance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for audits and coordinate management actions through to closure.

Requirements

  • Experience in a PMO Lead or senior PMO role within complex technology programmes.
  • Proven experience supporting on-prem to cloud migrations, infrastructure transformation, or data centre exit initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of programme governance, financial controls, and audit environments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across delivery teams and senior leadership.
  • Must be based in the UK (England).

Nice to have

  • Experience working closely with a Transformation Office or enterprise PMO.
  • Experience working in regulated or highly controlled environments.
