Salary: $141,750 - $172,462.50 per year

What you will do

• Manage firm-wide financial performance and communicate results and forecasting models to the Executive Team.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, monthly reports, and manage the general ledger closing process in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and maintain annual budgets and monthly forecasts, providing detailed analysis of financial performance.
• Ensure sales, use, property, and federal income tax compliance and coordinate with outside tax accountants.
• Oversee AP, AR, and payroll functions, and maintain insurance policies and annual audits.
• Recruit, train, and mentor accounting staff, managing performance appraisals and professional development.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and a CPA certification.
• Minimum 13 years of experience in management accounting at an engineering firm or similar industry.
• Expertise in construction industry accounting, including project-based accounting, job cost reporting, WIP, and revenue recognition.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and relevant local, state, and federal laws.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Nice to have

• Experience with Deltek VantagePoint ERP.
• Background as a general contractor or MEP contractor.
