Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Chitose, Hokkaido, Japan; on-site support is required. Clean room work may be requested from time to time.

What you will do

• Support Node Transition Project work streams by analyzing overlay and imaging data.
• Examine analysis results and connect them to suitable solutions for new-node devices.
• Support customers with product issues, clarify problem descriptions, and drive troubleshooting toward resolution.
• Lead escalations and coordinate with hirify.global experts and multiple internal departments.
• Present technical analysis results and lead technical discussions with internal and external customers.
• Provide support for EUV, DUV, YS, and VCP systems.

Requirements

• More than two years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in physical sciences, optics, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, mathematics, or a related field.
• Data analysis and troubleshooting skills, including experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic project management skills and the ability to create clear, user-friendly technical documentation.
• English: TOEIC above 600 and daily conversation ability.
• Japanese: JLPT N2 or higher and daily conversation ability; Japanese is required for customer meetings.
