What you will do

• Characterize semiconductor laser devices, including DFB lasers and electro-absorption modulator integrated lasers, and analyze their performance.
• Improve manufacturing processes and enhance yield using data-driven analysis.
• Investigate root causes and perform failure analysis.
• Conduct statistical analysis and monitor performance trends.
• Depending on skill level, develop data models and analysis automation, including machine learning applications.

Requirements

• Hold a BSc, MSc, or PhD in a science or engineering discipline.
• Have a strong interest in semiconductor or optoelectronic devices, manufacturing, or data science.
• Be a logical, analytical thinker with persistence in tackling complex technical challenges.
• Have experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or JMP.
• Have basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Be a fluent Japanese speaker.
• Have basic English communication skills for reading, writing, online meetings, or email discussions.

Nice to have

• Research or hands-on experience with semiconductor processes, optical devices, or electronic device characterization.
• Practical experience in yield management, quality improvement, or process optimization in manufacturing.
