Customer Quality Management Engineer (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Manage customer quality and environmental compliance requests in Japan.
• Support customers through product development, production launch, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Coordinate customer returns, failure analysis requests, findings, and status updates.
• Manage APQP for new programs and coordinate PPAP approvals.
• Support Sales Engineers during customer visits with technical expertise.
• Prepare and present technical reports, including 8D reports, to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
• Proven experience interacting with customers.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, influencing, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Availability to travel within Asia and the United States, with travel expected 0%–25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with semiconductor device physics, assembly, SMT processing, or IATF 16949 standards.
