What you will do

• Optimize bidding, ranking, and pacing for ad delivery to improve relevance and expand advertiser reach.
• Build and scale high-throughput ad serving and selection systems across the network.
• Develop low-latency services applying strong software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Collaborate with ML, Data Science, and Product teams on targeting and performance modeling.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical design discussions to elevate the team's technical bar.
• Advocate for high-quality code, automated testing, and strong observability practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Experience building backend APIs (e.g., gRPC) and data processing services (e.g., Flink, Spark) in cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and operational best practices.
• Must have US work authorization (E-Verify).

Nice to have

• Experience with search and retrieval systems, vector databases, embeddings, or AI/semantic search.
• Experience designing agent-to-agent (A2A) and multi-agent AI systems.
• Background in ads, marketplaces, e-commerce, or travel platforms.
