Software Engineer II, Developer Experience (AI)

Location: Flexible hybrid model; in-person interviews may be required for positions based in Boston or Dublin.

Salary: $112,000–$141,000 USD annual base salary.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate software systems that improve the developer experience across engineering.
• Build features for Showroom, the internal developer portal supporting deployments, governance, software catalogs, and self-service workflows.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, cloud-native integrations, and agentic automations.
• Support jobs replatforming, AI-powered code review, agent-driven provisioning, AWS infrastructure provisioning, and CI/CD modernization.
• Help modernize the internal developer portal into an AI-first developer platform for large-scale, multi-repository engineering environments.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java foundation and understanding of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience building web applications or backend services, ideally with Spring Boot or Spring Framework.
• Systematic debugging skills, including analysis of service performance impacts.
• Understanding of the testing pyramid and experience writing automated tests at multiple levels.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD tooling.

Nice to have

• Exposure to JavaScript, React, or Remix for developer-facing user interfaces.
• Interest in AI-powered developer tools and agentic workflows.
