Senior Software Engineer II (AI Native)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada

Salary: $118,500–$216,500 USD annually for US candidates; $171,500–$201,000 CAD annually for Canadian candidates. Additional benefits and equity are included.

What you will do

• Build and maintain high-throughput backend services for the AdServer and Exchange platform.
• Implement real-time bidding and auction logic, including integrations with demand and supply partners.
• Own features end to end, from technical design through deployment, with attention to correctness, observability, and operational health.
• Collaborate with Staff Engineers, architects, and Product on platform design, ad formats, and monetization capabilities.
• Contribute to monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot for analysis, coding, testing, refactoring, and documentation; mentor junior engineers on effective workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of backend engineering experience with strong Java proficiency and multithreaded system design.
• Experience building or operating high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems in production.
• Understanding of data consistency, performance trade-offs, and database fundamentals.
• Comfort working in cloud-native environments, ideally AWS.
• Clear technical communication and openness to professional AI-assisted development and agentic workflows.

Nice to have

• AdTech experience with RTB, auctions, and supply or demand integrations.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs or partner systems.
