What you will do

• Own the development, documentation, and ongoing refinement of core design system components, tokens, and patterns.
• Partner with product designers and engineers to ensure consistent system adoption and evolution.
• Identify and resolve design inconsistencies across the core app to drive a coherent product experience.
• Apply high-quality visual design craft to polish the system's execution and raise the quality bar.
• Prioritize effectively and make defensible decisions autonomously in a lean environment.
• Lead the integration of the design system with AI tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product or visual design experience.
• 2-3 years of focused design systems ownership, specifically building or evolving a system.
• Experience in small or mid-size companies managing systems with limited resources.
• Strong visual design skills in typography, color, iconography, spacing, and motion.
• Proficiency in Figma, including component architecture, variables, auto layout, and design token management.
• Proven track record of partnering with engineers to implement design systems in code.

• AI-native workflow: active use of AI tools to accelerate design processes.
• Experience as the primary owner of a design system rather than a contributor.
