Salary: $36.21 - $67.36 hourly

What you will do

• Perform underwriting for conventional, FHA/VA, and specialized residential construction loan programs.
• Analyze complex loan files, builder qualifications, and cost breakdowns to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Develop counteroffers and alternative lending solutions to help members qualify while maintaining risk standards.
• Validate income calculations, loan-to-value ratios, and collateral documentation for investment-quality standards.
• Mentor underwriters, processors, and loan representatives by sharing expertise and best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state lending regulations and investor requirements.

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. degree in business or equivalent education/work experience.
• Minimum of five years of underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting residential construction loans, including builder qualifications and draw management.
• Must be a resident of WA, ID, or OR.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Washington State lending market.
• FHA DE and/or VA SAR designations.
• Experience analyzing complex corporate, partnership, and sub-S corporation tax returns.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
