TL;DR

Underwriting Analyst (Lending): Review bank statements, financials, tax returns, and cash flows to support credit recommendations and structure complex loan applications with an accent on risk guidelines and profitability. Focus on building financial models for loan and portfolio analysis, ensuring accurate underwriting forms, and adherence to internal policies.

Location: 100% remote, working hours 9:00am–6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday

What you will do

• Prepare credit analysis to support informed credit recommendations.
• Review business bank statements, financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow statements for investment analyses.
• Structure and underwrite complex credit applications balancing profitability and risk.
• Build financial models to analyze individual loans and portfolio health.
• Underwrite loan applications per company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare Excel-based underwriting and loan approval forms ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• At least 2 years in underwriting, credit analysis, lending, or banking
• Strong spoken and written English (all resumes in English)
• Intermediate MS Excel
• Analyze financial statements, bank statements, tax returns
• Basic financial modeling and credit underwriting principles
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, stress tolerance, independent work

Nice to have

• Financial analysis or structured credit experience
• Lending industry or banking sector background
