What you will do

• Design and implement data infrastructure to reconcile transactions across internal ledgers and external banking rails (ACH, payment processors).
• Develop and maintain a library of anomaly detection rules using statistical and ML-based signals.
• Apply probabilistic and fuzzy matching techniques to automatically resolve ambiguous transactions and reduce manual review.
• Build real-time and batch pipelines to surface unmatched or anomalous transactions to stakeholders.
• Serve as the technical lead partnering with Engineering, Finance, and Recon Operations teams.
• Establish data quality standards and validation frameworks to distinguish timing lags from genuine discrepancies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or financial operations.
• Deep proficiency in SQL and strong Python skills (pandas, PySpark); experience with dbt is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks for pipeline development and data modeling.
• Familiarity with ACH transaction cycles and financial settlement processes.
• Practical knowledge of AI/ML methods for anomaly detection (e.g., isolation forests, autoencoders) and clustering.
• Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii).

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a STEM, Economics, or Finance field.
• Experience working with LLMs or AI-assisted tooling for data extraction and workflow automation.
• Prior experience in the fintech or financial services industry.
